DAY 1 : CASABLANCA – RABAT – CHEFCAHOUEN
In a sightseeing tour of Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco, we visit the exterior of the Hassan II Great Mosque, one of the Islamic world’s greatest monuments, followed by a visit to the Place Mohammed V, the United Nations Square, and the surroundings of the Royal Palace. Depart for Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco. In Rabat, we will visit the splendid Mohammed V Mausoleum, the Hassan Tower and the Place des Oudayas. Late in the afternoon, we will depart for Fez with a stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis and the sacred town of Moulay Idriss I, where the founder of Islam in Morocco is buried. We departure to Chefchaouen in Rif mountains where we check-in at your hotel.
DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN – FEZ
Today we explore medina in Chefchaouen and then we drive to Fez where we stay overnight.
DAY 3: FEZ GUIDED TOUR
Breakfast in your riad then begins a tour of the Medina where you will visit the many hidden that only the locals know the place of treasures. Fez was the capital of Morocco for over 350 years and is home to the University of Al Karaouine, the oldest university in the world. Your tour will take you to Moulay Idriss mausoleum, Fountains Najjarine, and Tanneries. After lunch, you can also see outside the Royal Palace and walk through the famous Jewish Quarter “Mellah”, where you have the opportunity to visit one of the few synagogues life in Morocco. Your visit Fez includes a short visit to the famous pottery factory, then you can enjoy a panoramic view of the medina of Fez.
DAY 4 : FEZ – AZROU – MIDELT – ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA
After breakfast in your Riad, we travel south – east along the caravan route to Merzouga. During this trip you will experience an overview of the Middle Atlas and upper Atlas Mountains . Stop at the cedar forest , the largest in Morocco , on the Middle Atlas Mountains , where you can see the Barbarian monkeys. after lunch in Midelt, traveling towards Merzouga you will notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of desert as you approach the city Errachidia. Your journey continues along the Ziz Valley and lush palm oasis of Tafilalet, famous for the cultivation of dates . This area is the foundation of the Alawite dynasty – the current royal family in Morocco. Arriving in Merzouga late afternoon, here you will welcome with a glass of mint tea before spending the night in a Riad.
DAY 5 : MERZOUGA DESERT
After breakfast in the riad you will begin a tour of the region. Visit the Gnawa people – originally slaves brought from Sudan and live the experience of their music and lifestyle. Not far away, there is the lake of Merzouga, known for its diversity of birds. You can also visit the souk in Rissani Tafilalte, a traditional town which is at the origin of the ruling family in Morocco and the meeting place of caravans from Timbuktu in Mali. Here you will see a lot of masked men and veiled women. Back to the village of Merzouga to start the camel trek by an experienced camel guide; explore the sea of sand of Merzouga. Night at our camp in the desert where you will have your dinner. The camp is fully equipped and enjoy a delicious Tagine and music and song by the Berber people.
DAY 6 : MERZOUGA – ERFOUD – TODRA GORGE – DADES GORGES
Early in the morning wake up to watch what may well may be the best sunrise of your life. you ride the camels back to your hotel where you shower and have breakfast in Merzouga. En route, you might not miss to enjoy the unique and spectacular beauty of sand dunes “Chebbi” and its changing light. After breakfast, we drive to Tinerhir and Todra Gorges – the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch at the heart of the gorge we drive through the Dades Valley, where you will see the majestic castles and amazing rock formations.
DAY 7 : DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – KASBAH AIT BEN HADDOU – TIZI N’TTICHKA PASS – MARRAKECH
After breakfast we drive through the Dades Valley to Ouarzazate. The road through the Dades Valley is the way of the thousand Kasbahs – providing many opportunities to take photos. We will stop at Kalaat Mgouna “Pink City”, to buy rose water, which will make your clothes smell long after your return. Continue to Marrakech via the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. Built by El Glaoui And Hami, one of the last Berber leaders during the 18th century, after the visit of the Kasbah your journey continues through the majestic Tizi n’Tichka (2260m) over the High Atlas Mountains, before arriving in Marrakech in the afternoon.
DAY 8 : GUIDED TOUR IN MARRAKECH
The morning will be devoted to the sightseeing of Marrakech, the second oldest imperial city known as the “Pearl of the South” and home to the Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace and the Menara Gardens. Returning to your hotel for lunch. The afternoon will be spent exploring the souk and the world’s famous Djemaa el Fna place with its various entertainments, such as storytellers, acrobats, snake-charmers, magicians, etc. Later on, a Diffa Fantasia dinner will be provided under capital tents at the famed Restaurant “Chez Ali”. Enjoy the fantasia spectacle that features camel and horse shows, folkloric troops from different Moroccan regions and belly dancers. Return to the hotel.
DAY 9 : DEPARTURE TO CASABLANCA
Today the private Morocco tour finishes and we drive you to Casablanca.
